RXSOL 666 due to strong concentration provides a quick penetration and power. RXSOL-37-0666-210

Special Features and Advantages

  • Powerful Hydrocarbon Removal: Helps remove heavy fuel oil, grease, petroleum sludge and oily residues.

  • Rapid Penetration: Penetrates stubborn deposits and assists in loosening strongly adhering contamination.

  • Effective Emulsification: Disperses loosened oil and grease to facilitate their removal during washing.

  • Heavy-Duty Cleaning: Suitable for tank containers, cargo tanks, pipelines and industrial surfaces.

  • Concentrated Formula: Can be diluted for routine cleaning or used neat for localized heavy contamination.

  • Versatile Application: Suitable for spray washing, soaking, circulation and tank-cleaning operations.

  • Warm-Water Performance: Warm-water cleaning can improve removal of viscous oily deposits.

  • Reduced Cleaning Downtime: Can help reduce manual scrubbing and repeated washing cycles.

  • Easy Rinsing: Designed to assist in removing loosened contamination with subsequent flushing.

Procedure

RXSOL 666 is covering 10-12 squire meter are when spraying directly. It is advised to use a solution of 2-5% wash water mixed in the tank to be cleaned. Dose rates and results will vary depending on contamination, the temperature of the cleaning solution, and number of tanks to be cleaned with the solution.

Spot  cleaning

RXSOL 666 can be sprayed neat onto tank surfaces to be cleaned. The contact time should be at least 30 minutes. Bulkheads/walls can be washed down by use of tank washing machines or high pressure cleaning machines. The best result is achieved with warm water. Slops should be constantly stripped from the tank and transferred to a holding tank or pumped ashore to slop tanks.

Rock and Roll method (Cargo Tank)

1.    Cleaning of double bottom tanks during voyages.
2.    Flush tank with sea water, stripping constantly.
3.    After flushing, ensure all suction and discharge valves in the engine room are closed.
4.    Dose tank with Rxsol 666 through the sounding pipe or manhole between 0.5 - 1 litre per ton of water, for   75-80% of capacity of tank to be cleaned.
5.    Fill tank to 25% capacity with sea water, raise the temperature up to 60°C and maintain this for 24 hours.
6.    Discharge and strip tank, flush with sea water, stripping continuously for 2 hours.
To gas-free, fill tank with sea water to overflow through vents and sounding pipes, discharge and strip completely.

Pipeline Cleaning

  1. Isolate Pipelines: Check blockage, pipeline material, and pressure limits.
  2. Remove Bulk Sludge: Use pigging, vacuum removal, or sectional cleaning where feasible.
  3. Compatibility Test: Test RXSOL 666 HD on actual HFO sludge.
  4. Pilot Trial: Determine dosage, contact time, and circulation conditions on a small section.
  5. Chemical Circulation: Circulate through a closed-loop system with pressure monitoring.
  6. Recover & Flush: Collect spent cleaner and sludge, flush with a compatible medium, and verify flow restoration before recommissioning.

Notes

Industrial Applications

A. ISO Tank Container Cleaning

Suitable for removing heavy aromatic residues, oils, natural latex contamination and other difficult organic deposits from tank container interiors. It can be incorporated into cleaning programs at ISO tank maintenance and repair facilities.

B. Marine Cargo Tank Cleaning

Used for cleaning cargo tanks and double-bottom tanks contaminated with petroleum products, vegetable oils, palm oil and other cargo residues.

C. Heavy Fuel Oil Pipeline Cleaning

Designed to assist in removing accumulated HFO sludge, petroleum deposits and viscous hydrocarbons from industrial pipelines through controlled circulation or soaking.

D. Oilfield and Refinery Cleaning

Suitable for evaluating cleaning operations involving hydrocarbon-contaminated equipment, storage vessels, process surfaces and oil-handling systems.

E. Industrial Surface Degreasing

Useful for removing persistent oily films, heavy grease and organic contamination from compatible industrial surfaces.

Tank and Surface Cleaning Procedure

  1. Remove loose sludge and recover free oil where practical.

  2. Prepare a 2–5% RXSOL 666 HD solution for general washing.

  3. Apply through compatible tank-washing or spraying equipment.

  4. For heavily contaminated areas, apply concentrated cleaner and allow at least 30 minutes of contact.

  5. Use warm water where equipment, coatings and the current SDS permit.

  6. Wash down surfaces with suitable cleaning equipment.

  7. Collect the contaminated wash solution in an approved recovery system.

  8. Rinse thoroughly and inspect for remaining deposits.

Pipeline Cleaning Procedure

  1. Isolate the pipeline and confirm pressure, temperature and material limitations.

  2. Remove bulk sludge mechanically where feasible.

  3. Conduct a compatibility test using actual sludge and pipeline materials.

  4. Establish cleaning concentration and contact time through a pilot trial.

  5. Circulate the cleaning solution through a controlled closed-loop system.

  6. Monitor pressure differential, flow and contamination removal.

  7. Recover the spent solution and dislodged sludge.

  8. Flush with a compatible medium and verify cleanliness before recommissioning.
